Lipoplasty

Lipoplasty also known as Liposuction is a process of removing excess fat that has deposited in ones body. No matter how much the person exercises or diet, the pockets of fat which doesn’t get burn easily can be removed from Lipoplasty. It is basically done to improve ones figure and to bring that person into presentable appearance. In Lipoplasty the fat which gets deposited and is stubborn and does not shrink easily is called ‘diet resistance fat’ is removed by entering a cannula ( a hollow metal tube) into the fatty tissue, this technique is the most common one and it is known as liposuction. The most common places of these fat pockets are neck, chin buttocks, abdomen. thighs, hips, calves, ankles and sometimes even breast in both men and women. Lipoplasty is also done to remove the excess fat in the enlarged breast in males.

Pre operative questions from the patient are asked so that the main goal of the surgery could be understood and the surgeon is able to determine and achieve the expectations of the patient. The patient may be asked to look into the mirror and tell the surgeon exactly what parts of his or her body he or she would like to get improved. The medical history such as previous operations (surgeries), your past and present medicines allergies or decision about future pregnancies etc should be provided to the surgeon before the surgery. It is very important for both surgeons as well as for the patient. It is also very important to provide full information of the patient’s present and past treatments and present or past diseases like High blood pressure, High blood sugar (Diabetes), and thyroid problems etc. as these conditions can lead to some other complications, during or after the surgery.
